FAQs - Understanding Labels Better
What does %RDA mean on the label?
RDA stands for Recommended Dietary Allowance — the daily intake level of a nutrient considered sufficient for most healthy individuals.
Why it matters: It helps you understand if the product is giving you too little or too much of an essential nutrient.
What’s the difference between 'active' and 'other' ingredients?
Active ingredients provide the health benefit - like Ashwagandha KSM-66 for stress or Myo-Inositol for hormone support. Other ingredients (also called excipients) are used to blend, preserve, or enhance the taste of the product — e.g., natural stevia, fruit powders.
Why it matters: You want to focus on what’s active — that’s where the results come from.
Why are some ingredients listed in mg and others in g?
- mg = milligram (1,000 mg = 1 gram)
- Ingredients present in smaller quantities, especially potent actives (like vitamins, adaptogens, or probiotics), are shown in mg.
- Ingredients like fiber or protein are often listed in g because they're needed in higher amounts.
Why it matters: The dosage tells you how meaningful the ingredient really is. 5 mg of a fancy ingredient may sound good — but may do nothing.
Should I worry about 'proprietary blends'?
At Vamnaya, we don’t hide behind proprietary blends.
Why it matters: You have the right to know what you're taking in.
Are clinically studied ingredients really better?
Yes. Clinically studied ingredients — like Sunfiber®, Myo-Inositol, Emothion®, Ashwagandha KSM-66, Howaru® — are backed by human research for effectiveness and safety. They cost more but deliver results that generic versions may not.
Why it matters: If you’re investing in your health, go for science-backed ingredients — they’ve proven their worth.
Do labels mention when results can be seen?
Labels don’t usually mention this. But, we at Vamnaya provide you with an entire transformation journey that you may see across. But, one thing to keep in mind is - Results vary from person to person — but consistency is key.
